Wants For Sale

One of the solid pieces of financial advice in the pf world is to find a way to make money using your talents and hobbies.
This gives that advice new meaning.
Two artists have started that website–Wants For Sale–and are selling paintings of things that they want. The twist? The painting sells for exactly the price of what they want. A Wii painting sold for $270.92, the exact cost of a Wii. A painting of “a good joke” sold for free (plus the cost of emailing or calling in a good joke). They’re still trying to sell a painting of Mets tickets ($597.50) and financial security ($1M, though I think they’re shooting a bit low).
I think this is an incredibly creative spin on the old, use-your-talents-to-make-money advice. ![]()
That’s an awesome idea. (I wish I could paint…
I used to draw but quit after highschool. I am just trying to get back into it again… do you think they would take sketches?
I love that idea, and like the style of the paintings. Thanks for passing that along.
